Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 22, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website (the "Site"), operated by The Forge, a sole proprietorship run by Sikandar Javid ("I", "me", "my"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About this Site
The Site is an informational and marketing website describing independent software development services. It is provided for general information only and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or investment advice.
2. No offer or contract
Nothing on the Site is an offer capable of acceptance, a quote, or a binding commitment. Any engagement begins only under a separate written agreement signed by both parties, which will set out scope, fees, timelines, and deliverables. The "Build Plan" pricing and project timelines shown on the Site are indicative and may change.
3. Case studies and examples
Project descriptions and case studies on the Site are anonymized and illustrative. They describe work delivered for past clients but are not guarantees, promises, or predictions of results for any future project. Outcomes depend on factors specific to each engagement.
4. Bookings and enquiries
Booking a call (through the embedded Cal.com scheduler) or contacting me by email is a request to talk — it does not create a contract or any obligation to provide services. Scheduling is handled by Cal.com; see the Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.
5. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the content, design, text, and graphics on the Site are owned by The Forge and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and share the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not copy, reproduce, or reuse its content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to:
- break any applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its infrastructure;
- introduce malicious code, or disrupt or overload the Site; or
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
7. Third-party services and links
The Site relies on third-party services (for example, Cal.com for scheduling and Vercel for hosting) and may link to external sites. I am not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third parties. Your use of their services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. I do not warrant that the Site will be error-free or continuously available.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Forge will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always the one posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in that state will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site.
